The cloisters in the Northwest of NYC
Located on four acres of autumn colored trees overlooking the Hudson River there is a «Kleinod» of medieval European art in the northwestern part of Manhattan. The Met Cloisters. Its name comes from the cloisters of the middle age that form the core of the building. Its a time-consuming ride from downtown Manhattan thru Harlem passing Columbia University to reach this world of another age. Once you are there, an outrageously harmonious world full of tranquility and exceptional artworks and architecture is welcoming you. A surprising side of NYC, worth every minute of this time travel.
