What if art fights for nature
The Art city of Basel welcomes the world. With a river, you can swim in all year round. With bike roads, that lead you to unspoiled nature reservations like the Petite Camargue Alsacienne, the Isteiner Klotz, the Reinacherheide, the Meriangärten, the Vitra Campus. You name it. No worries.
Art will certainly not be neglected at Art Basel 2026. But it’s always worthwhile to keep our eyes open for the presence and beauty of nature in art – and art in nature. Art Basel sets standards in this area year after year. We’re excited to see what surprises await us this year, both within Art Basel and Art Unlimited, and beyond. We fondly recall Enea’s garden in the courtyard, the centuries-old olive trees, and the wheat field. These are powerful statements in support of nature. More will follow.
